28 in 28 Challenge – Who’s with me?

Standard

HAPPY FEBRUARY, folks!  The shortest month of the year, the month where we celebrate love and light and life, the month before the Earth is  REBORN in Spring.  WAHOOOOOO!

Like the Earth, we, too, go through a rebirth.  We shed layers of clothing, layers of thought, and often, layers of funk as winter passes us and we start to live again. What better time to treat yourself, heal yourself, open yourself, challenge yourself, reward yourself?  How can you best do that?  WITH YOGA, of course!

I am dedicating the month of February to a 28 in 28 challenge.  28 yoga practices in 28 days.  Won’t you join me?  You don’t have to go to a yoga class every day.  You don’t have to do an hour of yoga every day.  You just have to suit up, show up wherever you are, and spend some time honoring yourself and The Divine Light that lives in us all. Do a Sun Salutation as you wake up.  Throw your legs up the wall before bed.  Give yourself a gift of an unrushed exploratory practice on a Saturday afternoon.  Open your heart, open your eyes. Love, live, laugh, learn.  You will be better off because of it. I promise.

  2. WAHOOOOO! This is going to be great! I’m excited to see and hear of folks joining in. Our collective energy will make February amazing!

Today my yoga consists of teaching two classes, a quiet meditation, and a long restorative posture before bed (viparita karani or supported supta baddha konasana.)

  4. A little late but I guess better late than…
When I first read the title of this post I thought it was going to say something like 28 sun salutes everyday for 28 days. The actual version though, of just anything everyday feels a little better. I like!

  5. I’m in! This will give me the extra motivation to practice on even on the nights when I have other plans … to make that extra time at some other time during the day! Thanks for the idea!

  6. Funnily enough I thought of this after my practice yesterday (Feb 1st). And … so far I’m sticking to it. I’m in !!!
